When they first invented eyeglasses in the 13th century in Florence, at a time when Italy was considered a powerhouse of innovation and development, particularly in the optics and glass manufacturing, those physicists and opticians didn’t have the faintest idea where their invention would lead. They couldn’t have imagined that by the 21st century, there would be glasses with futuristic lenses allowing seamless transition between sunglasses and close-up vision with a finger swipe, TINDER-style swipe. Sounds bizarre, right? Even today, it still sounds strange, but this method is alive and kicking. Smart sunglasses and vision glasses, all in one place. Glasses from the future, or as the brand slogan says: SUPERHERO GLASSES FOR SUPERHERO PEOPLE. When the geniuses from Deep Optics approached us, with the directions to design the packaging for this crazy product called 32N, we knew the packaging had to deliver a parallel universal experience. Starting from the unboxing, which contains the playful SWIPE experience, through the precise and clean materials that convey the essence of the product, to the compartment of the accessories in the back part of the packaging, which, when you take them out, make you feel like you’ve opened a 3000-year-old mummy’s sarcophagus. If we could add a smoke effect and the sound of “shhhhh,” we would.
